Parent Association
The Parent Association fosters an intellectually stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for Saratoga Independent School children; promotes collaboration among all members of the Saratoga Independent School community; provides formal means of communication between the Parent Association and the Board of Trustees; creates opportunities for parent enrichment; promotes the financial strength of the school; and provides support for social events.
Members include all parents with a child enrolled at Saratoga Independent School; no dues are collected. The leadership is elected annually by parents. A minimum of three meetings are held during the school year.
Examples of recent projects led by the Parent Association include assisting with the Back to School Picnic, organizing a “Work Day” in which parents volunteered to help prepare the school building and grounds for the new school year, serving as the Welcoming Committee to families at the start of school, offering sessions for parents to review the Parent Handbook, organizing fundraising activities, and communicating school news to families.
